About Us
The Arts Centre is a local hub and home for the arts in South Huron. The Centre provides area citizens of all ages, pre-school to seniors, with the opportunity to participate in arts programming as both learners and as volunteers through classes, exhibitions and performances in the Visual Arts, Music, Traditional Arts and Crafts, Drama, and Dance. The Centre, at its heart, is a place for learning, exploring, trying, participating, creating, and connecting to the arts and one another. Welcome!
Our Philosophy
We believe that everyone is welcome to participate in activities at the Arts Centre. We expect and appreciate that everyone regardless of age is responsible for cleaning up after themselves, for reusing and recycling, and for always going about instruction and participation in a respectful way…respectful of the facility itself but also of one another regardless of age, ability, gender identification, faith, culture, race, income, etc. In addition, it is our aim to have all instructors take a positive approach by encouraging participants, by relying on constructive comments, by helping participants learn and use new skills and develop existing skills, and by promoting a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. We are so eager to make you feel at home in the South Huron Arts Centre. Welcome!
