Health and Safety Policy of the South Huron Arts Centre Effective Sept 23, 2023

Participation in a program, workshop, class, exhibition, or performance at the South Huron Arts Centre is an opportunity to gather and enjoy the creative arts. During the current pandemic, doing so safely requires careful attention to important health and safety measures.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR SAFETY INCLUDES: 

• Currently, face coverings are encouraged. This may change before or during a class so      bring a mask just in case. 
• Enhanced cleaning/disinfecting of facilities
• Sanitation stations available and encouraged in the facility

If the Huron-Perth Public Health Unit reinstates proof of vaccination requirements, the following will apply:

• Instructors and participants must be fully vaccinated (full series of vaccinations received at least 14 days prior to visit), have an active medical exemption, or have proof of participation in a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine trial.
• This policy applies to anyone participating or attending aged 12 and older.
• ID that matches the name and date of birth on the proof of vaccine must be provided and this ID must be government-issued or issued by an institution/public organization.

To support our ability to keep you safe, please ensure we have a valid email address on file so that we can keep you informed as our protocols evolve in response to guidance from public health authorities.

The South Huron Creative Arts Centre is housed at the Exeter United Church but has no other affiliation with the Church. As such, the Church may have an unexpected event arise (e.g., a funeral) that may cause a sudden cancellation of a scheduled class or workshop. In that case, the contact information submitted above will be used to notify participants of the cancellation of a particular class. Similarly, instructor illness or inclement weather may force, on occasion, an unexpected cancellation and once again the contact information provided will be used to notify participants. Cancelled classes will be rescheduled or a refund for that class will be provided via e-transfer.

Refunds are not provided; however, if you are unable to participate at all in a class or program you have registered for, a credit will be provided toward the registration fee of a future class or program. In addition, to cover programming costs a minimum number of participants will be required. If we do not meet the minimum number of participants, a workshop, class, or program may need to be cancelled at which time we will email you and provide you with a full refund.

Pictures and videos may be taken of participants in classes, workshops, etc. in order to be posted to our website, Facebook, Instagram, newspaper etc.
