Provides meaningful arts enrichment that inspires creativity and connects students with the role of artists in their community. Each session is engaging and hands-on, allowing students to build new skills while creating something they are proud to take home.
Participation in the arts supports important life skills such as creativity, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, self-expression, and fine motor development—contributing to both personal growth and academic success.
If you are a teacher and are interested in having your class participate in a school workshop email SHACInquiry@southhuronartscentre.com for more information.
We look forward to creating, sharing, and inspiring the Arts with your students.
Programs are offered in the Spring and Fall each year. This Spring's program runs over 5 weeks from April 8th to May 6th and includes Acrylic Paint Workshops with Dee Ford from Dee's Art Barn and Clay Workshops with Sam Halingten from Halingten Art.
Supported by local volunteers, the program also strengthens community connections by bringing generations together to support youth and arts education.
We gratefully acknowledge the generous support of our funding partners, including the Sunset Foundation – South Huron Community Funds (in 2025) and the Exeter Lions Club (in 2023 & 2024), whose contributions help keep student participation costs at $5 or less, ensuring the program remains accessible to as many children as possible.
